Oh Coolkelure, sweet Coolkelure the home of beauty rare

    (continued from previous page)
    IV
    The mansion grand though desolate
    Is lovely as of yore,
    The scenery surrounding it
    Enhancing it the more.
The wooded slopes along the lake
    Will homage oft divide
    With the pretty ivymantled church
    Most picturesque beside
    V
St Edmund's school, the churchyard neat
    The Rectory and all
While here & there a choice retreat
    Will on the vision fall
And when the mists from Owen clear
No sky on earth so pure
    As the blue transcendent one
    Above you, Coolkelure.
    VI
Would I could sing, the whole day long
    Like Autumn's gentle breeze,
Or outrival the wild birds' song,
    That rings amidst your trees
Your beauty then would famous be
    And tourists I'd assure
There's not within the Irish Isle
    A vale like Coolkelure.
