  1. When I was a child we played the following game: -
One of the strongest children was chosen to be a "Fox", and another strong child was a "Hen".
The "Fox" then stood with all the rest of the children behind him, sometimes there were 12 or 13. They were in a straight line holding on to one another's wrists. They were supposed to be "chicks" which the "Fox" had stolen from the "Hen"
The "Hen" then walked up to the "Fox" and the following dialogue took place:-
    Hen: Where are the chicks?
    Fox: Under the bed.
Hen: What do they feed on?
    Fox: Crumbs of bread.
    Hen: May I go upstairs?
Fox: Your boots are too dirty.
Hen: I'll take off my boots.
Fox: Your stockings are too dirty.
Hen: I'll take off my stockings
Fox: Your feet are too dirty.
Hen: Well, I'll fight for my children
