Clonakility. - Basket Making
Long ago the people used to make their own baskets. First they grew the twigs and when they were strong they made the baskets. They chose a strong twig with which the bow was made.
The twigs were woven in and out around the bow. It took many a toilsome hour to make a basket, and when finished it was the pride of its owner.
Baskets called panniers were also made in much the same way as baskets.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
