Soon after Seán's return the rumour spread - that Seán Láidir had one of the three existing copies of the Prophecies of St Coulmcille.
He kept the book in a hiding place in the house so that nobody but himself had a chance of reading it and every Sunday at Clontead Chapel the people while awaiting the arrival of the priest would gather around Jacky recounting many strange and startling Prophecies.
