- There are many churchyards around this district and most of them have Irish names. One graveyard is called Cill Mná Óg. So called because a young woman was swimming near Oysterhaven, she came to a dangerous place and got drowned and was the first person to be buried there. In this graveyard there was a monastery in which there was a holy water font. It was taken and now remains outside Nohoval Church.
Kinure graveyard is a very small one and there are very few buried there. There are a few vaults there.
