- The city of Crov Dearg where a pattern is held on the first day of May and continues until the 12th May is in the parish of Rathmore, Co Kerry, townland Gortnagown. It is widely known for its good water and healing for those suffering diseases, lame, blind and infirm.The people from Cork, Co Limerick and Kerry came to it in great numbers. My people remember cattle being brought there and strange that the cattle appeared to be fond of each other.The old well was closed down by a local tyrant named Cronin who lived at Rathmore where the Presbytery is by the Priest now.This well was re-opened by(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
