   The Glass Bench. so called from the clean quality of its stone. It is 14" in height and the stone is used for almost every purpose.

   The Flag Benches are immediately over the Glass Bench and are divided into 3 rows of 9" 7" 8" in height. uses kerb-stone, window sills, door-steps, furrow-stones etc.

   The Fourteen-Inch Bench. 14" in height. Pure clean limestone & is used for Rolling-stones & Tomb-stones & all kinds of cut-stone.

   The Three-Flags. Over the 14" Bench are three flags of 7", 9" to 11" and 8". The Middle row varies in height from 9" to 11". It is a spotted stone & is known as the Caitlín Breac. It is used for lime as it does not break regularly. The 7" Row is used especially for tomb-stones of the flag-type - very common in former times. It is also used for

   The Three-Foot Bench. This Bench is used for making bases (i.e. die stones) for tomb-stones. It can be used for all cut stone purposes to which its height lends its suitability.

   The Five-Foot Bench. This bench owing to it great height is suitable for all classes of cut-stone as it divides very regularly.
   7.
   The Black Bench. The bench is noted for lime. The stones break in very irregular fashion. The quality of this stone is most productive for lime.
   8.
   The Cleeve (Cleave?) Bench is on top of the Black Bench. It is so called because it splits regularly. It is 3 feet in height & is much used for monumental work
   9.
   The Trough Bench is over the Cleeve. It is much used for building stones & for making fancy doorways & windows. Height 10 inches
