- My home is situated in the townland of Knockanebane, which is in the parish of Rockchapel and in the barony of Duhallow.
There are only four families in the townland. There are twenty people approximately in the townland. Three of the houses are thatched and one of them is slated.
Knockanebane means the little white hill. It was so called because there is a hill which is one
thousand, one- hundred and thirty feet high. In Summer time it is all spotted over with soft white flowers which are the blossoms of a coarse grass called '' canavanes,'' and that is why it was called(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
