  1. In the county in which I live there were born many heroes who were to win fame and fortune for their great and noble deeds. These men help to give as much fame to their country as the heroes of long ago.
    There were many strong men not far from where I live. One of the strongest of these men was a man named Seán Burns. This man lived somewhere between Brosna and Abbeyfeale. Many stories were told concerning the great deeds done by this man.
    One of these stories tell how Seán Burns was one day passing a blacksmith's forge. He asked the blacksmith for a coal to light his pipe. The blacksmith put the coal on the anvil and took it to the road. Seán lifted
