    many old people in this District but those of them that are still living are well able to tell stories of olden times.
    Some of them can tell stories of the troubles and hardships they underwent during the years of trouble. There is only one man in this district who can speak the Irish language. In this part of the District the land is very good but there is a great scarcity of trees. Were it now for the industry of the people it would ot be so well cultivated.
