    Homemade bread was the bread used in Olden Times. The bread was made wheat and oats espically oats made oatmeal bread. Flour was made locally. Querns were used in the district. The following kinds of bread was used. Oatmeal bread which was baked on an griddle. Blackbread was used at the time of the war. Milk was added for kneading. The bread was baked once a week. People call the vessel that is used an oven. Bread was baked before a fire standing against a support. The support was made of of timber. Griddle bread was uasally made.
