    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    There are many forts in this district, one almost on ever farm. Some people say that they were the Danes houses and others some say that they are the "fairies" houses, but history tells us that they are the houses of the ancient Irish. These houses were built of timber and outside the walls was a big dyke of water to keep out the enemies. Then ancient Irish had a drawbridge which they could take away after crossing the water outside the fort.
    People know all about these raths but anyone does not like to interfere with them.
