    Another field is called the "priest's rock" because a priest was burned to death there long ago and the ruins of the house where he was burned are still to be seen.

    Another field is called "Kelleher's rock" because a family of that name lived there long (ago) and the place is rocky.
    Another field is called the "Pond Field" because there is a pond at the corner of the field.

    Another field is called the "Donkey field" because all the neighbours used graze their donkeys there long ago.
    Another field is called the "Cnuicín" because there is a large mound of earth in the centre of it.
    Another field is called the "kiln field" because there was a "lime kiln" there long ago.
