- Treasure is supposed to have been hidden around Wallstown castle. It was place there by Mr. Wall, to hide it from Cromwell's army. Attempts have been made to unearth it by people in the locality but they didn't find it. The buried treasure is said to be a boot of gold worth about twenty thousand pounds.

- Treasure supposed to be hidden in Raheen at the gap of a fort field. It was hidden there long ago when people used to bury their money.
Mr. Noonan and Mr. Walsh Mrs Roche's father tried to unearth it. It could not be dug up by day, so it was at night they went to unearth it.
