  1. In the Townland of Kilatty in the parish of Ballyhooly there was a family of Protestants and they had a working boy and he was a fool.
One night he heard them saying they would kill the Priest.
So he went on before them and there was a big flood in the River Blackwater and he walked through it.
When he came to the Priest's house he told him, and he asked him how did he come. He told him he came across the river.
The Priest told him to go back the same way.
When he did he found a grand road across the river.
Just when he had left the murderers came and they went to the bed and when they found no one in it they said, the nest is hot and the bird has flown.
These people were called Grimes. Their monument can be seen in Kilatty graveyard today.
