In the townland of Druagh, situated within two miles of the town Mitchelstown, on the banks of the river Funcheon, there is a miniature tower.
Three men dreamt on three nights in succession, that there was gold buried underneath the floor of the tower. They also dreamt that it was guarded by a bull which would kill one of them before the treasure would be recovered. So the three of them arranged to unearth it. One night armed with guns of some sort they sallied forth determined to fight the bull. When they started their journey they agreed that which ever one would run away the two others would fire on him. They arrived there after an hour, and started digging. At last they came to a large stone. Then they heard a threatening rumbling. On looking they saw a large bull very near. The three turned and ran for their lives, with the bull in hot pursuit. They returned home ashamed and vexed and very much out of breath.- Collector
