  1. There are about ten blessed wells in my parish. Nearly everyone go to the well in Aghern on the 15th of August. Near my townland there is a well. It is situated in the townland of Ballyroberts. There is a wall all round the well and when people go to visit the well they must recite the rosary on the wall of the well. Near the wall there is a big stone and on the stone there are seven crosses and the people must say five Our Fathers five Hail Marys and five Glories five times on each of the crosses. It is said that if you see a fish in ithe well, you would have luck. It is also said that the stone near the well was taken and that the well moved down. There is an elm tree growing near the well. Everybody who go to drink some of the water takes flowers or a button or a medal to leave at the well. It is called Our Lady's well.
