  1. Weather Lore
    When we see the Seagulls coming over the land we say it is the sign of a storm at sea. Groups of plover have been seen coming in over the land also and people say that is also a sign of bad weather. Here in Cobh if we see a sign of darkness coming over the clouds and the wind coming from the south we say it is going to rain.
    The South East wind brings us of [a sign?] rain.
