  1. Crosses:- The size of a St. Patrick's and a St. Brigid's cross is one foot. It is made of stuff like lime or chalk. These are made by a sculptor. Then they are sold to people to put them in houses. They are placed in some part of the house where they get prominence.
    Long ago the people cut a harp out of cardboard and covered it with green ribbon. They wore this on St Patrick's Day.
    Mats are made in several ways by weaving and plaiting and of straw. The straw mats are called sougane mats.
    Holy water:- Holy water was got long ago in a well in Woodstock, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork called "Tobar na Cáisce.
    On St. Brigid's night crosses were made of rushes and put outside the window. Rosary beads were hung in out houses long ago.
    One time St. Brigid was looking for land to build her convent. She went to a man that owned a big stretch of land and she asked him for some. The man said
