Holy Wells
"All Saint's Well" is the only Holy Well in this district. The Well is situated in Kileens.
People visit the Well all through the year but especially on "All Saints Night" and make the "rounds" there. The people go around the Well five times and each time they say five "Our Fathers" five "Hail Marys" and five "Glorys".
The Well is surrounded by trees. There is a Cross engraved in a stone above the Well and its name "All Saints Well" written on it. There are candle and night lights always lighting on the "mantlepiece" above the Well and several vases of flowers.
There is a "ponn" (tin cup) on the "mantlepiece" out of which the people drink. If a person was diseased in any way, he would rub the water of the Well to where-ever he was afflicted and if he had faith in the Water it is said that he would be cured. People say that a cripple was cured there some time(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
