P. Rathcormac. The result of his investigations were embodied in a work on Irish Antiquities published some years ago.The account was got from Thomas Hegarty a native of Guileen, aged 73.
- March 30th 1938Loch RuadAbout a mile and a half from the village of Guileen, lies a lake which is called "Loc Ruad" covering about four acres in Winter and about three in Summer. It is drained by the Guileen River which flowes into the Atlantic Ocean.
