- The people had three meals a day in olden times - breakfast, dinner and supper. They had their breakfast about seven o'clock in the morning, dinner at twelve o'clock and supper at seven o'clock. They had potatoes and sprats for their breakfast; potatoes and sour milk for their dinner, and stirabout which was made of Indian meal, for their supper.
