Tom Motherway wouldn't keep the coins because he was afraid that the fairies would do him some harm so Tom Connell took the coins home and locked them in a drawer.Every morning after that the front door of the house used to be open when he arose. One morning when he arose the door was again open. He suddenly thought of the coins so he went to the drawer in which he had locked them and opened it and to his surprise the coins were gone. He then guessed that it was the fairies who opened the door and took the coins. They never went to the fort after that.
