  1. The famine began on 1847 and lasted until 1851. The cause of the Famine was scarcity of food the people were so poor that they depended for food on their potatoes A blight came over the land and the potatoes rotted in the ground and there was no food to sell for money
    The corn was shipped off to foreign countries to sell. All the people were dying in hundreds on the road side. There was another very bad disease in the country called the fever and a large number of people died by the roadside English people was ancious to help but the time help came a large number of people were dead One way to help them was to send people over to America where there was enough of money for them to work Out of all the people in
