  2. Long ago fairs were held by twice a year 1st June, 1st November. There was one held in Dangan, Ardagh and another above Mount Uniacke, it is called the Kill-Hill. There was a fair in Ardagh and there were pigs there, one pig got into the graveyard where there is a shore, the pig got into the shore and he was travelling for three days and at last he came out at the fair field beside the Kill-Hill.
There is a shore through the field to Barry's fort. The fair field is at the right hand side of the road. Mr. Kennedy brought a pair of horses into the field and he left them and he saw a hare up on the plough and when he came back the horses were dead.
