The latter I believe is Feargus Mac Roigh of Deirdre fame and the former Bearna Conlaoch na bPóg refers to Conlaoch the son of Cuculann, at least I have the presumption to think so. Westropp, the late eminent Co. Limerick Archaeologist speaks of the march of the Ulstermen through Limerick, under the leadership of Cuculann and what wonder if Feargus Mac Roig, though Connor's enemy should have been either before or behind them. I have not read or seen Westropps notes but I understand they are in volume 25 of the Royal Irish Archaeological Society's Journal

    With regard to the name Ford of Fergus of the Chariots mentioned at page 80 and also on this page above I have now to note on the authority of the man who supplied the name - Tim Hedderman, Manister, that it came to him from a man named Barron. The latter saw it mentioned in a "paper-covered book" which belonged to a Civil Engineer named O'Brien presently resident in Kildimo Co. Limerick. As I have never been able to get the name from any other person in the district, nor any tradition bearing
