   To rest for awhile from reflections withdrawn;
   And sipping with friends whom I never
   found surly.
   Sprightly thy sons are beloved Glenbrohane.

   Farewell lovely village where's my
   feet press me:
   My heart shall expand as the tall
   cliffs I view
   Wherever I wander my lips will still
   bless thee.
   Linked with my birthplace I sigh
   for thee too.

   VII.
   How grand are charms wild nature
   incites in.
   The breast of the bard who shuns castle
