In Autumn the potatoes are ready to be dug.
They are dug with spades and the good ones are put into pits, and the black ones are taken home for the pigs.
In the evenings the pits are covered carefully to protect them from the frost.
In the Winter time they are all taken home and stored in a bit pit for the Winter.
Some for eating and for seed the coming year.
