- There is a well at Ballylanders. It is called after Our Lady. A pattern is held there every twelve months on the 15th August. People go to the well to make their rounds. There are six rounds and at every round the rosary is supposed to be said. There are five Our Father's and five Hail Mary's said at the well. The water is said to be a cure for sore eyes and sore legs. Rags are left at the well. There is supposed to be a fish in the well and it is said that
"If you see the fish you will get your wish"
