- Bóithrín na gCapall“Bóithrín na gCapall” is about 100 yards east of “Carraig an Eitig” ~ No. 9.This little “road of the Horses” once led from Rusheen to Killalough Cemetry and along this road went funerals from the Old Catholic Church at Ballingirlough is near in ruins since the Penal Days ~ to a Cemetry at Killalough which is now barely discernible. This Cemetry was near Mr. Bob Ryan’s T.D. House. The old people assert that “processions” or funerals of the “Daoine Maithe” or the “Good People” are still often to be seen at midnight passing over “Bóithrín na gCapall”.Near Killalough Cemetry was a nunnery by the Black Sisters.
