the smith uses a hammer,, a sledge,vice and an anvil. He shoes horses and donkeys. He makes gates, spades and parts of ploughs and iron heaters for box irons. He bands wheels outside the door of the forge.
When Maureen O'Connell's uncle Jack went to the war before he went forge water was sprinkled on him and he came back from the war without any wounds."
