The best known travellers (are) that travelled this place long ago are "Fat Paddy, Paddy Galligan, O'Brien Oola, the Riellys, the Sheridans and the Donoghues. The last three used travel in bands. They generally come here for the fair and they get drunk at the fair.
When the travellers arrive, the head of the whole party used to go to the local forge every night and all the "locals" used to go to hear all the news from all parts of the country, from the tinker. When he had finished, he used to take off his cap and everybody used to drop in a coin.
