- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)evening out roaming and some thing possessed us to come home across what is called the "wood". There is not a single tree in this field now, but it once was dense with trees. Hence the name "wood" remained after the wood had vanished. In the middle of this wood there is a "liss". We achieved jumping across the wide trench that surrounds it, and started to explore the inside. Soon however, we discovered that the tangle of briars which ran inside were raspberry bushes, and were well stocked with fruit. Charmed with our discovery, we collected quite an amount of the red berries and planning to give them a surprise at home, we brought them with us. But alas ! the first person we met in our own yard was my Grandmother (RIP) whom we asked share our spoils. She asked us where we got the splen-(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
