- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)In the direction of Dooneen for about 30 yards. Another story tells of an old man who was seen sitting on the wall opposite the vault at midnight. A split may be seen on the door of Mac Murray's vault where it was struck by lightning. There are a few wooden crosses in the graveyard but the greater portion are made of iron or stone. A corner of the grounds are kept apart for the burial of unbaptised babies. Coultar graveyard had an eerie reputation in olden times and it was said that the "Coípse Boóap" used to pass along by it.There is a gateway leading into Killonahan churchyard that had an eerie reputation also, and tradition has it that an animal in the form of a pig was often seen there.
