    Holy Wells
I know of only one well in my district. This well is called the Black Dog Well. It got its name from a black Dog which was seen there. This dog was seen in various sizes by many people.
It is said that if you bathe your eyes, when they are sore, with the water of the well it would cure them.
Several people's eyes were cured by it. One of these people was Mr. Burke of Sarsfield. When he died a statue was erected by his daughters at the well. in rememberance of him.
