- Hidden TreaureNear where I live there is a place called Lissagadda, where there is a crock of gold supposed to be hidden. It is said that some years ago there was a man ploughing in a field, and he stripped a crock of gold, but as there were other men with him he said to himself he would not take it until some other time, as if he took it then, he would have to divide it. He put a "gad" to mark the spot where the gold was. Some time afterwards he came for it, but he did not know where to find it, as the field was covered all over with gads. The place where the gold was supposed to be hidden was afterwards called Lissagadda, or "The Liss of the Gads".(continues on next page)
