    The bread in olden times was a lot different from the bread that is made nowdays. They used to have oaten meal bread, whole meal bock bread, and potato cake.
    The oaten meal bread was made on a griddle and it used to be very hard to eat. The potato cake was made from boiled potatoes mased up and salt and butter and flour. The bock bread was made from boiled and raw potatoes. The old people used never have loaf bread to eat only at Christmas and it used to be a geat rearity to them.
