  1. Dandelion which is a herb that grows wild was considered a perfect cure for the disease called "Jaundice" long ago. It was freshly picked and cleaned and boiled in new milk fo a couple of hours before it was ready for use. It was then strained and cooled and the patient was supposed to take it three times each day for a month before being cured.
    Another herb which also grows wild is "Marsh Mallows". This was a very popular cure for rash or any skin disease. It was chopped up very finely and mixed with hog's lard. It was then made into a plaster which was applied to the rash or sores. This was supposed to effect the cure within nine or ten days.
    An herb that grows very plentifully is the dock-leaf. This was used for curing insect bites or stings of nettles. It was freshly pulled and the juice was bruised out on the sting or bite. After about five
