    of gold. Michael Kennedy Knockmehil extricated a crock of gold from under a rock in Knockmehil. A bull would not permit him to take it away. A pig with fire coming from its mouth guards gold hidden where Knockmehil Castle stood. Some say that a bull guards the Carhue gold. Others say that when the Irish soldiers were chasing the Danes when retreating to Culahill Castle Ileah Co. Tipperary where Sighle Ní Ghadhra the murderess of her son received them. They hid gold in Kennedy's fort Carhue, killed one of their men and buried him with the gold to mind it. Lights have been seen in this fort.
    It was Dannie Gurkey, a Dane who hid the gold in Lacken after the battle of Sologhead when followed by Little Mike, one of Ronie O'Brien's Soldiers.
    The Glenbeg hiding place is easily located. It is near the boreen. The surface is red though the surrounding surface
