    It happened year after year so that the people were starving. Most of them went to the poor houses. Som of the families went inside there homes and shut the door and died there together. After a while the people sowed wheat but they had to sell it in other countries to get money to pay the Landlords.
    There was men who were called “soupers” and they went around, went around every day with soup to the people who would turn Protestants.
