    the best remedy.
    For severe head aches an ice or cold compress applied at intervals of 10 minutes usually effects a speedy cure.
    For sprains in leg or hand it is the usual thing to go to the nearest spring or stream and construct a water fall and hold the limb under it.
    Water cress was much used by people who live near streams and was supposed to prevent cancer tumours and like diseases.
