- This is generally sown the same as this latter method of potato sowing. It gives very good results especially in gardens. In field setting the DRILL method is now generally used. BLIND SETTING is sometimes done to (?) labour. On the ploughed land the manure is carted out in rows (?), holes are made at about 2 1//2 ft, the plants are laid in each - the manure thrown in and covered with the soil taken out of each hole.
