    It was a beautiful summer evening and, taking out my bicycle, I went for a spin through the Glen of Aherlow.

    day to this Moll the Ónseach stuck to me.
    Hearing her Grand father was a blacksmith, I asked her did she know anything about forge water.
    Oh! Dol-di-dee she answered if I would not know, I like to know who would. I asked,
    "How long is your grandfather dead?"
    "About fifty", she answered.
    Then I asked her to tell me some incident about the forge water, and to go back in memory and describe the day as best she could and if she was Moll the Onseach, she was an intelligent Onseach. She paused awhile, looking back the path of sixty years. She started her story.

    "My Grand mother was on her knees taking out turf that was stored under the bed for baking "Moll" she said "hurry and make some candles, I heard the Graneóg calling this morning and there is a Ceóbrán coming down the Galtees, a sure
