- This is a story that happened in Ireland in olden times. There was a Lord lived near a village and he would let no one cross his land. The Lord had a gamekeeper to look after his land. One day the gamekeeper saw the priest of the village crossing the land and he summoned the priest, and the Police never served the summons on the priest. The Lord said that the chapel bell should be taken down because his work-men were going home from work too early in the evenings. They used to stop work when they would hear the Angelus bell ringing and the priest paid no heed to the Lord what he said about the bell. Then the Lord sent word to the priest that he wanted him.
