- (continued from previous page)Scotchman were passing her house and they saw a lovely cake on her window and the three of them went in to ask her for it. Passy the Englishman said "may I take this cake" and she said 'no'. Paddy the Scotchman said "can I take this cake and she said 'no' but Paddy the Irishman was the cleverest and he said "is it any harm to take this cake" and she said "no" so he ran away with the cake.
- One day a priest met a beggar on the road and he gave him sixpence and the beggar said "God bless you." Another day the priest was out walking with another priest and the other priest gave him a shilling and the beggar said "God almighty bless you." The priest said "What is the difference between "God bless you and God almighty bless you?"(continues on next page)
