    St. John's well is situated near Newhall lake. There is a special day for visiting this well also, which is the 29th June. The custom is, for the people to take off their shoes before going round the well six times. The reciting of the rosary is the usual form of prayer offered up. A crippled man was cured at this Well. He left his crutches after him, they are to be seen there still. The people drink water out of it. It is said there is a cure in it. People leave things or money there.
