Marriages
When a couple were getting married long ago they considered Monday, tuesday and Wednesday the luck days and Thursday, Friday and Saturday the unlucky days. They had a rhyme like this - Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for losses, and Friday for crosses and Saturday no luck atall. When the man was getting married he was sure to borrow some old clothing from another man.
The man would usually go on horseback to the chapel and return in the same vehicle with his wife.

When the seagulls come in to the land from the sea.
Swallows flying low.
Cats sitting with their back to the fire.
When there is a circle around the moon.
When flocks of crows are perched on a wall or a reek of turf.
When the robin sings from the middle of a bush.
