  1. for warts on any part of the human body it is generally believed among the people here that no better cure can be found than water found accidentally in the hollow of a stone or in the top of a cow dung. The water is rubbed on the wart a few times and, strange to say a cure is generally effected.

  2. Some Local Superstitions and Practices.
    (A) If a person is going to a fair or on any journey and he meets a weasel it is thought to be a sign of good luck for that day.
    (B)On the other hand if the traveller meets a red haired woman it is believed to bring bad luck.
    (C)If a cock is heard crowing about 12o.clock at night it is supposed to forewarn a death or some misfortune among the household.
    (D)If mixed birds are seen in a field near a house near a house it is looked on as an evil omen.
    (E)If two spoons accidentally gets into ones tea cup it indicates a marriage or wedding for the individual.
    (F)Lights sometimes seen at night in bogs and in marshy places are supposed to be "Jack the Lantern".
