- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)began to make their own wheaten bread. They grew their own corn and ground it into wheat and made bread of it.
Long ago the people used have six kinds of bread after the name of whatever they made it from, for example:- Wheaten Bread Oaten bread; Rye Bread; Bean Bread Barley Bread and Stampie.
All this bread was made the same as we make our bread only that they mixed one of these grains with the milk instead of flour. It depended upon the kind of a loaf they wanted to make. If they wanted to make a wheaten loaf they would mix wheaten flour with the milk and if they wanted to make an oaten loaf they would(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
