- There are many old Easter customs in this district. The people get up at day break on that morning because it is said that the sun dances with joy because Our Lord has risen from the dead.
The old people, who were not able to come to Mass during the winter come to Mass on that day. The people go for a picnic to a field, a hill or an old lane, they take a kettle, and eggs and a teapot with them, they light a fire, boil or roast the eggs and make tea.
When the picnic is over the old people talk among themselves and the young people play around or they go and light the bogs.
